****** by Adiidas and told by staff, "YOU MUST PAY MORE, HAI." How rude

My experience at Adidas Gateway (Durban)

I was shopping and saw an item I liked and proceeded to purchase it.

At no point did anyone assist me with my shopping.

When I went to the till the cashier assisted me with registering for the addidad membership upon which I got a 20% discount on my order.

As the payment went through the cashier tried to cancel my order.

She explained that "You must pay more, Hai. You must pay more."

She called a staff member named Brandon. As I tried to understand the situation, the blatantly ignored my conversation and insisted "You Pay More."

She said that the items purchased was a sale item and the discount could not be app****.

As a customer this is *******.

If the sale went through that's not my responsibility to have to pay more. I was 1. Made to sign up willingly 2. But then I was ****** of 20%of my sale.

I wasn't made aware of this and neither was I assisted or made aware of this prior to the purchase

These staff need to learn customer service.

My purchase went through WITHOUT ANY ISSUE yet the rude staff insisted that I pay extra for my purchase.

You can even look at the CCTV footage to see that I tried to have a conversation with the 2 staff members but they just ignored me and wanted to re process my purchase as I "Must Pay More!"

What happened to the customer is always right?

I was oblivious that I was paying extra. I thought there was a discount on the purchase. The staff members didn't explain anything to me.

If the staff told me about it I would have probably not purchased the items.

I want these members of staff to be dealt with and the money I was forced to pay more for be refunded.

This is totally unacceptable as a name brand. I have long supported Adidas but never experienced such pathetic customer service AND such rude service from Addidas.

I have long supported the Adidas branch in Springfield but I will NEVER EVER GO BACK TO GATEWAY and I will he telling friends and family never to go to Gateway Adidas.
