Adidas Golf Shoes

I received a pair of golf shoes from my brother that came to visit from Canada. The golf shoes are to big and so I phoned Adidas in Cape Town to ask if I could exchange them for a smaller size. They said that they can't as this was bought outside of South Africa. The shoes hasn't been worn and is brand new. All I am asking is to exchange it for a smaller size. They gave me a case number but that does not solve the problem. They are not helpful at all.
