<p>I went to adega in mall of Africa today around 8 pm today. Went there with family to have super when paying the bill they told me I'm forced to pay the 10% tip it's the standard practise of their business. Well what kind of lwa is that and where does it state at the sa consumer act that you are forced to pay a 10% gratitude bill. No one I did not complain and their food was burned I kept quiet ate what I could, another customer complained and they gave her a new plate. After such a service and being civil. Here I am giving close to twenty rand bill and I was tol sorry I need to pay. I told the lady if I had ordered a 100 meal n only having 100 on me how does that work. Because when u go out its all about gong to have some nice food and being lazy to cook. I'm bringing my money to your business and you are still ******ing me. I refused to pay it. I went back yo the nabnager I told him why doesn't he have a sign outside to beware ppl that when u enter this premises 10% is required on ur bill. He said adega does not allow him. My question why but why does adwga in woodmead not charge the 10%. He said it depends on the franchise, u don't just make rules and not tell ur customers. I told him why before I order don't you tell me that I'm liable for the bill then I can decide to stay or not. Is the rent too much at the mall where franchisee are robbing us our hard earned money. Can't they then move to another place? Is it the mall making them charge because I would love to know and I want to ask sa consumer what is their intake on this. Anyone who gas infoon how to ask the owners of mall of Africa please share. I want to find out perhaps some of us who at middle class are not supposed to shop there. In fact I want my small gratitude change I gave them. I'll come collect call me. I was actually looking for ocean basket and there I found adega. Sine adega in woodmead its my favourite shoo this turned out to be the worst nightmare and experience on of my life.</p>
