Pathetic service/food from ADEGA FORDSBURG.

I visited this restaurant on the 18/05/19, with my husband for a special iftaar meal. Even though we made a booking in advance, our table wasn't ready when we got there. There were many families in the restaurant and we were ignored for most of the night and our starter order was only taken 30 mins after we were seated. Although we ordered our starters first, we were told 20 mins later that the starter wasn't available and we had to change our order. The rest of the tables were served speedily. Our starter arrived almost simultaneously with our main order. We had to ask the waitress for our drinks, which she got wrong and we had to remind her. The meat on our order was not made the way we requested and the prawns were over done or old. After we ate, we still wanted to order a dessert but all the waitrons ignored us for a solid 45 mins while the tables around us were already getting there bills, take home boxes and preparing to leave. We were almost the last people in the restaurant and while they were cleaning up realised we had not been attended too. We could've gotten up and left without paying and no one would've taken note. Needless to say we didn't order dessert and requested the bill. When we received the bill, we were SHOCKED!!!!!!. There was an automatic 10% gratuity added to the bill. We were and are not impressed. DISSAPPOINTMENT DOESNT BEGIN TO DO JUSTICE to describe our evening. After receiving sub par service, average food and just generally being ignored, we were forced to pay a gratuity. IF I could rate this place with 1/2 a star, I would. Definitely not worthwhile place to visit in Fordsburg. Recommendation to try any other eatery in the area.
