PATHETIC SERVICE ADEGA BEDFORDVIEW

Tonight we took our guests to Adega Bedfordview as we had always received excellent service at this restaurant in the past. The service and attitude of staff and waitrons was pathetic. Firstly we were given attitude about seating and they asked if we had a booking. I know for a fact that bookings are for their buffets and special occasions. Secondly I received an sms stating the specials and the waiter insisted that today is a special day and holiday when the advert and sms state it is available on all days excluding Sunday lunch and public holidays. Clearly he didnt know what he was talking about, Thirdly my guests asked for glasses of water. We were charged R10 FOR A JUG OF ICED WATER-THIS IS NOT CAPE TOWN AND NEITHER ARE WE IN A DROUGHT SEASON!!! We had The Entertainer and they refused for us to use it. The waiter had a ****py look on his face as i did not tip him. Management and staff have been chopped and changed and the standards have dropped. Service and treatment tonight has enforced my negative feeling of this restaurant.
