Adega Poor Food
<p>My girlfriend and I went out to dinner at the adega in sunninghill last Friday (08.07.2016) and encountered one of the worst experiences at a restaurant.</p> <p> </p> <p>After having to look for our waitress for approximately 15 minutes to give her our order we had to wait another 50 minutes thereafter for the food ordered to reach our table.</p> <p> </p> <p>So here is what was wrong with the food:</p> <p>· My girlfriend ordered a seafood pasta</p> <p>The pasta came with one prawn, one clam and a few pieces of calamari; there was not even a single mussel (even though it is specified on the menu). I was to pay for a bowl of pasta with seafood sauce and about 6 pieces of seafood (4 of those being calamari).</p> <p>· I ordered half a grilled chicken</p> <p>The chicken tasted good and I was looking forward to enjoying it, that was until I cut a piece and lifted it to my mouth only to find a strand of hair on my fork (it was neither mine nor my girlfriend’s, we checked). The waitress was actually in front of me when this happened. I asked her to take it back to the kitchen.</p> <p> </p> <p>After waiting another 15 minutes with no initiative from the staff to let me know what exactly is happening I asked for the bill for the beverages my girlfriend and I had (a glass of wine and a cappuccino); I was not prepared to pay for the meals.</p> <p> </p> <p>The bill was brought to the table, it was paid for and we left.</p> <p> </p> <p>Management did not make any considerations toward the two of us. This is unacceptable. I will never go back there again.</p>
