“Terrible Camping Facilities, Won’t Return”

Unfortunately, our camping experience at Addo Elephant National Park did not meet expectations. The ablution, kitchen, and laundry facilities were in very poor condition—dirty, neglected, and not properly serviced. The cleaning roster on the wall had not been updated for over two weeks, and the showers and floors were unhygienic. The campsite itself was untidy and noisy, made worse by trains passing by during the night, disturbing the peace. Based on the camping experience alone, we cannot recommend staying here.

That said, the game drives were fantastic. The wildlife, particularly the elephants, were the highlight of the park and made the visit worthwhile. We recommend visiting Addo for the animals and game viewing, but we strongly suggest considering alternative accommodation rather than camping.
