Not trustworthy, dishonest, thievery

Do not trust the owner of this business Mr Avesh Dhuram - he is dishonest and not trustworthy. In 2022, I signed a contract to replace my wooden window frames for aluminium frames. I wanted to support a small business. I was required to pay a 50% deposit, which I did in October 2022. Mr Dhuram told me he will install after two weeks. Unfortunately my family and I had COVID-19 and was unable to allow him to install. He thereafter asked me to pay an additional amount such that he could pay his supplier. He promised he would come to perform the install but to date (July 2024) this has never materialized. He has only given me empty promises and lies. He has been paid in excess of 30k. I have all the evidence and the case is currently with a lawyer. Subsequently, Mr Avesh has even sent me signed letters numerous times promising an install. He has no ethics or principles and can come up with the most elegant lies. Do not support Avesh since he will only take your money and give you false promises. Unfortunately, individuals like this make it very bad for small businesses who try to make an honest living. Dr N Pillay
