Pathetic, *********** & negligent service from Acutts

I Signed a lease agreement with through Acutts in Durban. When I went to do a final inspection on the apartment as per my lease agreement I found numerous issues that I highlighted to the agent. Up until this point none of them have been sorted out and I am due to move into the apartment tomorrow.

I find this highly unacceptable considering my lease officially starts tomorrow and I’ve already paid the deposit and 1st month’s rent in full. The fact that the apartment still isn’t fully ready for me to move in is unprofessional and shows that my contract isn’t being taken seriously by Acutts Real estate. The lease agreement explicitly states that I am too inspect the apartment with the land lord & make sure everything is in order. Up until now that hasn’t happened and I am now forced to move in to an apartment where there’s construction material in the cupboards, the plumbing isn’t up to standard, the stove isn’t working properly and the general cleanliness hasn’t been sorted out. I was assured that all of these would be sorted out before I moved in.

I’ve highlighted this to them and haven’t given me any feedback whatsoever. This service is really poor from a supposed professional outfit like Accutts.
