WORST Ford ever!

Not trustworthy at all!

I booked my Ford Fiesta ST in for a major service, cam-belt change as well as a water bottle replacement. My vehicle went in for the first time on the 20th of December, they then notified me that they ordered wrong parts and I have to bring it back again on the 24th, which I did.

I did research about seasoned ST mechanics and was told that Barend from Action Ford Krugersdorp is highly recommended. I repeatedly asked if Barend would be available to work on my vehicle as I want him and only him working on my vehicle. I was never informed that a client is not allowed to request a specific mechanic or that Barend was not available for some reason. They confirmed and ensured me that Barend would be the one working on my vehicle. When I received the Job-cards Barend’s signature was nowhere to be found. Why was an explicit request from the customer ignored?

My signature on the job card where the ticking noise is noted is blurred out so I’m not sure if that’s my signature. I was at Action Ford Krugersdorp on the 20th and the 24th, the time stamp of the electronic signature shows 09:06 27 Dec 2024, I was not at Action Ford Krugersdorp nor did I sign anything electronically. I was not told about any of this.

The issue I was told about was the battery light on the dash that is on. They informed me that it is because the alternator is not giving out enough power but it’s not serious it could just damage my battery overtime. I asked Rihan my service advisor to send me a quote for this and he sent me the quote on 20/12/2024 4:20PM.

I have requested the checklist that they did on the 20th or 24th checking all of the things but I haven’t received it as yet. I’ve requested this checklist from both Danie and Ian. All I got back was an electronic job card and was told that the manual checklist the mechanics use does not exist.

I suspect that the jobcard was tampered with and not a true reflection of what was done. Total hours according to the jobcard comes to about 17 minutes but I was invoiced for 8 hours of labour. Is the job card or the invoice incorrect?

First they said it was dirty pertol and when I told them I go to the same Sasol in Fourways and that I have all of my slips, so I'll be contacting Sasol to let them know. Then they changed the story to a failing injector, there is only photos of the spark plugs as well as video's of each compression test that was done, not proof of the failed injector claim.

I have sent an email to Ford SA and after 1 month I have not received any helpful feedback or instructions whatsoever.

WORST experience ever! Took my vehicle for a service, less than 2000 km later it's not driving anymore.
