From Bad to Absolutely a Disgrace

This must have been the worst experiences I have ever had. I will definitely not recommend the Action Ads!

Action Ads called me and asked if I would like to make use of the opportunity to use the space on the 3rd page as they needed someone urgently to cover the space for the next edition that was going out in two days time, so they only gave me 6 hours to get my artwork ready. I left absolutely everything that I was busy with and I only focused on the ad for Action Ads -artwork,wording, layout etc. I got our logo designed by a professional company and went through a lot of trouble to get everything ready and perfect, as this was the first time they were going to place my ad, as I had to cancel before due to bad or rather NO SERVICE from Action Ads, but I decided to give it another shot.... All they had to do was place the ad.

We were very excited about it, as we never advertised anywhere before. I sent through the artwork as we wanted it only to see the big DISAPPOINTMENT the next day when we received the Action Ads! The ad was nothing like what I gave them, they didn't use our layout, not our colour, not our font and colored the entire page in different shades of grey blocks....you could even notice what we were advertising...

I called the receptionist at Action Ads immediately and asked her who gave them permission to change my ad. After paying almost R3000 for the once off ad, I really expected it to be correctly done. They basically didn't even have to ask me to send them artwork, as they didn't care what I wanted, they didn't even thought to inform me that they wanted to change my ad, so cleary, they do not care about their clients, they only care to full their pages and get as much money in as possible, if you are happy or not..... Their respond to me was that they thought it looked better and that is what they do to all their clients ads. The receptionist even tried to bribe me with a few questions about our company and that she was interested to use us. Needless to say - that was the only response we had from that almost R3000 ad.....and we never heard from her again....

After requesting my money back they have kept me on a line for more than a month stating that they want to find out if it was legal what they did or not, before they will refund me or not. All the other advertising and printing companies that I phoned, told me that they are not allowed to change anything, unless they send a proof that I need to sign off....

It has been over a month that she has been playing games with me and telling me that she is waiting for legal advise before she will give me my refund - at the end of the day I through R3000 in the water, didn't get one phone call from any potential client and best of all not even a apology from Action Ads never mind the refund.
