Yesterday 27 December 2020, my life was put at risk at Cape Town International airport by 3 security guys who claim to be doing their job don't have names just pictures. what happen was I wnt to drop off my sister with her infant now there was just no way she able to push the trolly and carry the baby by her self, I assisted her went inside the airport helped her with check-in and when I was walking out using the drop and go exit I was stopped by 3 G4S securities telling me I can not pass there its exit only, I then explain to them what had happened they told me I should have told them. now I need to use the other exit to get to my car little did I know that this exit was not pedestrian-friendly I had to walk up a busy ramp to get to my car I almost got hit by a car. and those securities that claimed to be doing their job would never be liable for the damage that would have happened.
now my advice to the Airport Company South Africa before they get a lawsuit their way. 1. there must be a sign at the entrance that stipulates entrance only no exit if you are not flying you not permitted to enter their building that was not communicated with me at the door. 2. create an alternative safer exit for people whose circumstances are forcing them to enter the building or have a designated person to assist with mothers traveling alone with their kids. whatever they do they must just make sure that their customers are safe at their premises and there is footage of my experience on their cameras. and apparently, I'm not the only person that had to go through such a traumatic experience
