Rude and ill disciplined ACSA security.
My husband, who is Cabin Crew for an airline had a fork confiscated out of his lunch bag today, at OR Tambo Domestic Permit Holders Security.
There is no catering on the aircraft due to covid, so crew are required to bring their own lunch while working. Therefore there is no cutlery to eat ones lunch with, hence the fork in the lunch bag.
The ACSA security, at the Domestic Permit Holders Security, were also not following covid protocols and were feeling around in my husbands lunch bag with her unsanitized hands. This is extremely unsafe or sanitary in these Covid19 times.
The ACSA staff were extremely rude and arrogant in dealing with the situation, talking to each other in their own language and making snide and rude comments about the crew, laughing about the situation.
It is no way to act towards crew members, right before a flight, when they should be focusing on the safety of passengers and not having to deal with ill mannered ACSA security staff.
This is beyond any level of poor customer service or professional conduct by ACSA staff, disciplinary measures should be taken against such staff.
