Parking Fees ****************

We were forced to pay R6780 for about 4 and 1/2 days of parking. The employee on duty was rude and extremely unhelpful.

We arrived at OR Tambo on Thursday morning 23 June at 04:49, and left Monday night 27 June some time after 22:30. I have always parked at the XXL parking for a few years now, and when we arrived there on Thursday morning we found the XXL parking area was closed.

We stopped as close as we could right next to the XXL parking, and there were no signs or markings saying we can’t park there - everything was open and looked normal.

Usually I would pay roughly R200 a day for the XXL parking.

None of the parking pay stations were working. We then had to pay R6780 on our arrival at the parking office, and the lady on duty advised that there was no manager that could assist us with our query. Again she was really rude and unhelpful.

I did take a photo of the pricing which shows that for the first 12-24 hours it is R200, and thereafter it’s R100 per 12 hours.

We queried it with ACSA via email and telephonically - the employee responding was totally unwilling to assist and ignored the fact that the pricing that was openly displayed was totally disregarded. We were told that the pricing is listed on the website, however the pricing for XXL parking bays are also listed on the website - yet it is CLOSED!?

What is being done with the parking at OR Tambo is ********. We will never pay another cent to park there.
