OR Thambo security and interrogation

Not sure if this should be under Airports or Securitas. I recently flew to the UK and had an annoying airport experience. We passed through the many security points as expected at OR Thambo. We arrived 4 hours early because of transport and went to the gate to lounge around. While there Securitas guys came and moved the chairs. An entire section! We moved. After 20 mins they came again and moved the entire section AGAIN! This time they made a maze the size of the entire floor that could only be accessed from two points. To get to your family you had to navigate the entire maze (sounds ridiculous but I took photos it was like a 7th wonder). We moved out to another lounge, also so we could use plug points. Not a single plug point worked! We moved around trying to find a working plug, nothing. When the time came we went back to the assigned area to board but now there was a Securitas security check point just to enter the maze. I had to show my ticket and I got probed with questions. Although I was at the british airways gate to fly to london I was asked: "where are you going?" Also "For how long?" and "Do you plan to come back?" All that info is on the ticket. Do people buy tickets to USA then jump ship to London!? You have to scan your ticket before getting on the plane which verifies you on manifest... Why the interrogation!? So stupid.
