Unprofessional Conduct at OR Tambo International Airport I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a deeply concerning incident that took place at OR Tambo International Airport. My husband recently traveled through your airport and was subjected to bribery by an airport staff member.

Despite his hand luggage meeting all regulations—including weight and size requirements—he was approached by an airport official who demanded a payment of R2,000 to allow him to proceed. When my husband explained that he did not have that amount, the official insisted that he must "give something." Under pressure, my husband handed over R500—his last money—which the official then pocketed.

This behavior is not only unprofessional but also outright *******. OR Tambo International Airport is supposed to uphold international standards of integrity and security, yet this level of *******ion and harassment is appalling. Furthermore, the ongoing begging and unprofessional conduct of staff within the airport create a terrible experience for travelers. As a first-time visitor through OR Tambo, I was disgusted by the lack of professionalism and accountability.

I demand a full investigation into this matter and request a formal response outlining the actions taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Travelers should feel safe and respected in an international airport, not pressured into paying bribes to pass through routine procedures.
