Long queues in the blistering heat

Visited table mountain on 12/10 after purchasing tickets online for the R90 bday celebration. We got to the top after baking in the sun for almost 2hrs from waiting for the MyCiti shuttle and the online ticket queue was extremely long.

After realising that by the time the last cable boards we would still be queueing we ended up leaving as we were in CT for the weekend.

I am extremely disappointed as the queue marshals should know on average how many loads can take people to the top per day which should give them an idea of how many people should stand in the queue to begin with. The tickets were still being sold and people were allowed to queue in the blistering heat even though there was no way everyone would get on the cable that day????
