Lack of professionalism at ORT

Recently I landed at ORT from Heathrow where, although extremely busy, things ran smoothly in spite of long queues. What a wake-up call at ORT, back to a third-world institution! Two of the three travelators in the international arrivals were not working, some of the ladies’ toilets were unserviceable, no hooks in the working toilets to hang up a handbag, lifts not working, employees lounging around with seemingly nothing to do, etc etc. At passport control one of the officials kept shouting at arriving passengers not to stop and to keep moving, with apparently no proper system to check arrivals. Yet another broken SOE.
