#BlackFriday Airport facilities at OR Thambo have deteriorated. Bathrooms are generally filthy, Taxi pick-up point is chaotic with cars moving in a million directions. Traffic at Taxi pick up point should flow in one direction to make life easier for passengers. Why does the bag wrap business only take cash? Does that business even pay tax? Duty free section on return to OR Thambo is an embarrassment. It makes RSA look like a poor and lousy destination. How are ALL duty free prices in international departures section higher than local RSA prices? Disappointed that the airport is a possible deterrent to FDI, which the country needs, while the back wrap business makes millions every week but probably pays very little tax if any at all.
