An incredibly expensive parking experience

We parked our car at the airport from 23 December to 8 January. Because we have a car seat, it's not always practical to use a cab or airport transfer (we didn't fly with our car seat). We returned to a parking bill of about R2500. That's exorbitant! In my view there should be a discount/dispensation during peak travel seasons. Why should the burden be on consumers to make alternative long term parking arrangements? The charge is ridiculous!
