ACSA Passenger Assistance at ORT Very Poor

We travelled with Airlink to Cape Town form ORT. It was a pleasure to fly Airlink, but the passenger assistance at ORT is horrible.

Departure from ORT on 13 April: All went relatively well. However the waiting room is very small and they do not have any access wheelchairs available to move around. All the poor old people are crammed in this little room. There was one old lady who was left there for over 6 hours with no means to get any food or drinks. We went to buy her some coffee.

Arrival at Cape Town on 13 April and Departure on 20 April: The service at Cape Town was outstanding.

Arrival at ORT on 20 April: It was a total disaster. We left our Aunt in the plane as we saw the lift outside. We arranged to meet her again at the baggage collection. After a long wait we saw my Aunt walking. She was totally exhausted. I immediately rushed to my Aunt and asked the assistant where is the wheelchair? She said they had no wheelchairs, but they were walking slowly. I told her that my Aunt cannot climb stairs or walk long distances. I asked my Aunt if she was okay. She said she also had to climb stairs. I took her to the closest seats so that she could rest and I requested the assistant to please fetch a wheelchair as my Aunt will not be able to walk any further. I expressed my displeasure in the way they assisted my Aunt. They eventually came with a wheelchair.

Is this the way that ACSA is serving our senior citizens? It is a total disgrace!
