ZERO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
I have a VW Polo which I purchased second hand. Also the tyres of the car were two different sizes. My problem with the vehicle was that as soon as the speedometer reached 120 the speedometer would shut down and the ABS brake light warning would come up. For this reason I sent my vehicle to ACS Autoworx Bosch Service Center on Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg on 27 May 2021. My son explained the problem to Adrian and he explained the cost of the diagnostic test to which we agreed. Following up with Adrian he said that they needed to investigate further. My son discussed this with me while Adrian was holding the line. I accepted and asked my son to ask Adrian to continue as long as the problem was sorted out. My car was not sorted out on this day and Adrian said the vehicle will be sorted out the next day 28/05/2021 which was a Friday. We had to go out of town on that day to look for accommodation for my son who was starting his first job so I arranged for my sister to collect the vehicle on my behalf and pay the bill which was R 2 .852 and I had full faith that the problem was sorted out. We returned on Friday evening and collected the vehicle from my sister and test drove it but the problem still persisted. On Monday morning I called Adrian and explained to him that the car was still doing the same thing and the problem was not resolved. I had nobody to take the car to him and asked if someone could come to me to take the car to the workshop. Since the tyres were of different sizes I decided that we'd rather change the tyres as well. Adrian suggested that I'd rather change the tyres and then ask the tyre company to bring the vehicle to Bosch when they were done.
My vehicle was returned to me after close of business without being sent back to Bosch and the problem was solved once the tyres were changed.
The next day I called Adrian again to inform him that the vehicle was now sorted out and to inform him that I was disappointed that I paid R 2 852 and asked him for what I had paid the R2852. Basically the problem was the tyres but as I explained to Adrian that I'm a lay person and I brought the vehicle to you who are experts in the field surely someone could have advised me to change the tyres and the problem would have been sorted. I asked Adrian to come to a compromise as I feel I had been ********** by paying R2852 for a job that wasn't done. He promised to get back to me at the end of business on 31/05/2021 but he didn't. I subsequently called him numerous times thereafter. Adrian eventually returned my call after numerous attempts and offered to refund me only for the diagnostic test which was about R600. The balance of the bill which was R2252 was only for removing and cleaning the wheel sensor. I refused to accept a refund only for the diagnostics. I've even emailed Bosch customer support to resolve this issue with no response to date.
