The Worst Attitude and Service I have received as a paying customer?!

So after a highly pleasant experience with Bosch in Bloemfontein I took my car in to ACS Motorworx (Bosch in Toti, Durban) last year November 2016. Little did I know this was the biggest mistake.

After keeping the vehicle for a whole month for diagnostics they returned my vehicle with the following issues. There were about 7 parts missing from the engine which they had stripped (samp, clutch, flywheel, aircon compressor, v belt, and injectors). They were not aware of this until I had to request parts one by one as my personal technician was assisting me. They then admitted in front of me and a witness that they had been careless and possibly could have mixed my car parts with another vehicle. They also blamed the cleaner and said she could have moved the parts in the absence of their technician who was working on my vehicle. Really? Some of the parts were now damaged, at 1st I took it lightly and paid for the releaser bearing, but when the samp and then the aircon compressor also presented with problems then I was worried and referred the matter back to ACS thinking they are sensible and would realise the results of their actions.

I have since spoken to their customer and you would think they (ACS) actually care. The owner of the two stores (Pietermaritzburg & Toti one) shows no concern and has been dismissive and elusive in his emails. That is when he has bothered to respond at all! At the moment I had demanded they follow through with the assessment of the aircon compressor (since I already paid for the other parts) but now they are refusing to send me the “so called assessment” from the professionals.

Moreover they have deliberately ignored my pointing out and the blatant proof that their staff including the owner of the stores are negligent and unprofessional. This is seen through them not being able to provide me with all my parts the 1st time I fetched my vehicle from them, returning some parts broken, then when I dropped off the aircon compressor as requested by the owner the staff fail to inform him, he doesn’t follow up and they further delay me by another 2 weeks.

The worst part is that, currently they are ignoring all the other mess they have caused right from the beginning. They are now only focusing on refusing to listen to me and telling me they won’t pay for the aircon compressor. As if that’s the ONLY issue here. I had told them from the word go that they would do this, that they would test the part and upon finding some technical excuse, try and dismiss me with that. But such is their disrespect that they go and do that very thing I predicted. Perhaps being young, black and a woman, they think I am stupid.

They have continuously made me follow up with them as they dragged their feet with this issue. I am now confused about the customer care and the point of contacting them. They said their role was to mediate and they did refer the regional service manager to me. But he, too, is just regurgitating whatever nonsense excuse his people are telling him and totally disregarding the need to act on behalf of my valid points for which I have proof. When I approached customer care they ask on the form what is the desired outcome and I had 2 options; either ACS refunds me for the diagnostic because this is what started the trouble or they pay for my aircon compressor, at least. Because I have not charged them for the samp and releaser bearing that they also broke. I have received none of these outcomes and I don’t know why the owner of ACS has the audacity to undermine me and think that we can ignore the mess that started early January this year. I checked out their FB and also saw a couple of highly dissatisfied customers. Im in two minds: a little happy Im not the only one but also annoyed that they think they can get away with this behaviour.
