Uncaring and rule bound

My wife bought a cell phone at Ackerman's, Pavilion about three weeks ago as Christmas present for our son. Obviously, the phone was not used until Christmas day. Four days later, the phone started to play up and my wife took it back to Ackerman's today only to be told that the rule was that items could only be replaced within seven days of purchase. So a wasted purchase and a very unhappy thirteen year old, who was looking forward to his first cell phone, and now effectively has a brick.

Raymond Ackerman once said, "Doing good is good business!" I guess that has changed to "*****ing people over is bad business, but that doesn't matter."

Best regards,
Subsequent to my writing this post the regional manager had given the authority to refund the amount of the phone, for which I am grateful. My thanks to Ackerman's for ensuring my son has the gift he so badly wanted.
