Shocking Quality – Toughees Shoes Peeling After 3 Months!

I am absolutely disgusted. I bought a pair of black Toughees school shoes for my son from Ackermans in January 2026, and after ONLY 3 months the shoes are already peeling apart.

This is beyond unacceptable. Toughees is advertised as a durable, 100% leather brand — so how does a supposedly “quality” school shoe fall apart in a single school term? This is not normal wear and tear, this is poor quality, full stop.

I feel completely misled. Customers pay more for this brand expecting durability, but instead we are getting substandard products that don’t even last a few months. It seriously raises questions about what is actually being sold in these stores.

I will not be ignoring this. I expect immediate action — either replace the shoes with a proper quality product or refund me in full.

This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.
