Refund Dispute

I made a laybye at Ackermans at Protea Glen Mall, the total amount was R2500, and i had popped out R300. went back to cancel the laybye and i was told there are no refunds for laybyes of more than R1000. On the reciept it clearly states that you can claim a refund if you no longer interested.
