MISLEADING WITH VODACOM NOKIA CELLPHONE

We purchased a Nokia Asha 210 phone from Ackermans Dobsonville which we were told that we could connect to Watsapp. this phone was bought in November 2014 on my husband's account. when we got home, we could not connect to Watsapp, we took the phone to Signet and we were advised that the phone needs to be upgraded, the phone came back it was still the same, we then took the phone back and was informed that we need to take the phone to Vodacom Jabulani mall and it will be upgraded. when we went to collect the phone from Vodacom we were asked to pay an amount of R250 but we refused to pay the amount as the phone was still under warranty, we were advised that they will contact Signet and they need to rebook the phone in so that we don't pay, we got the phone back and this time with a lot of scratch marks, we took the phone back to signet and was told they cant do anything we need to contact Vodacom. from November this phone was bought and never used, why does ackermans sell phones and then we are told to deal with Vodacom. frustrated
