Incomplete Laybye!
I took a R5195 lay-bye out on the 01 April 2023 for my daughter of which consisted of ALL her essential needs for this cold winter. Since then (01/4/23) I had to consistanly turn her requests down when she wanted something regarding cloths reminding her about all the cloths that is awaiting her. This obviously created a HUGE excitement. Today, I went to release my laybye wanting to surprise her(mind you her birthday is in August - the birthday outfit was also in there) and to find the staff cannot find BAG NO 2. Bag NO 1 had only her pjs, socks, gown, a jacket and a few other top items. Conveniently someone did not put a "slip" on bag no 2 and more than half of the laybye is GONE.In addition, I remember the day of laybye very clear and there was slips put on the bags. I even remembered the face who helped me and he forgot to print a double slip for the bags of which his manager had to do. We were of the last customers that day. Hower, fast forward, today I was given the option of refund and/or look on the racks for the rest of the missing items. I knew already they wont be able to find the missing items in the shop as we basically took the last of each(in size) on the day of the opening of laybye.
Anyway, I would like to express my HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!! The reason why I put the laybye together was for convenience and time. But this led to a MASSIVE inconvenience as I now have to go to the shops AGAIN and get my daughter the applicable. I feel for her too because there was some items she was REALLY looking forward too and I highly doubt ill be able to get them again this weekend.
This post would probably mean nothing to who ever reads this as nothing else can basically be done about this situation. You have UNHappy customer!
I trust this happens to no one else!
We do apologize for you only receiving half your lay-by.
The matter has been escalated to the relevant department to have a look in to.
