********** Customer Service

I went to Ackermans in Parow Centre on Saturday 26/11/2016 to purchase a cellphone. I sent my husband to ask for the phone at the cellular counter while I stand in the queue(as it was end of the month, the queue was quite long). By the time I got to the front, no-one has helped him, he was just told that he should wait for a lady. Not knowing who the lady is, he waited. After about half an hour of waiting, we finally got hold of the lady, who knew we were waiting to inform her which phone we want so she can go get it, was busy with hangers and checkin lay-bye's etc, making us wait whiele standing in front of her. After finally informing her what phone we want, she makes an announcement for someone to bring the phone from the back. We waited between 30-45 minutes for whoever was in the back to bring a phone. So now, we at the till ready to go. Phone is all set up and paid for. I had to buy an extra sim because I needed to do a sim swap. The guy that was helping me (His name is Franklin) then asks the girl with the braces next to him to do the RICA on my Cell C sim while he sets up my phone. She then tells him that if I want to do a sim swap, no RICA should be done on the sim(It says so on the back of the sim card packaging). Franklin seemed very confused and kept on asking things like "What do you mean it should not be RICA'd?" "How do I register the sim?" "Do I just give the sim as is?" etc. The girl with the braces stated again, no RICA on Cell C sim if I am going to do a sim swap. Not too long after that my Cell C sim was purchased and off I went. When I got home, excited(As I was ****** and ready to get back online), I called Cell C customer service. Who informed me that they can not do the sim swap as the sim was already registered. I was so ****ed. I went back to the store the next day, Sunday 27/11/2016, angry as **** because the idiot RICA'd my sim, w/o telling me, and this after he was told it should not be RICA'd. I decided not to say anything, as complaingin is not worth it, all I want is my sim swap done. I then took a sim and stood in the queue. When I get to the till, I was helped by a girl who seems to be new. I gave her the sim and informed her I need to do a sim swap, she then went to the Manager that was on duty that day, the manager then states the sim should be RICA'd. After hearing this, I told the girl that I was in the store the previous day, my sim was RICA'd by an idiot that works there and when I called Cell C, they could not do the sim swap. The girl again, goes to the manager. The Manager (who seemed like she was ready for a fight, even though I was calm) came to the till and the first thing she said was "Policy and Procedure"...after which I just shut down and did not hear another word that came out of her mouth. Policy and Procedure? ***? I work in Customer Service and you dont first jump to policy and procedure before you even took the time to speak to you freaking customer. She did not even ask me what happened or what the issue was or anything to find out why I am unhappy. The first ****** thing she said when she opened up her mouth was policy and procedure. What the hell is she doing in retail if she does not know how to treat her customers? Better yet, what kind of message is she as a manager sending? I did not repsond to what she says because I can not discuss my complaint with such a close minded person, so I left and went somewhere else and decided to express my feelings here. To make matters worse, the phone I purchased is faulty(microphone not working) So now I have to return to that dreadful place....
