*****ed Layby money

I'm writing this with a heavy heart.In December I did a layby for a phone at ackermans so last month I decided to go and cancel my layby due to me not being able to pay it off as I'm a new mom and life expenses have taken its toll so I went to ackermans in rosettenville in mall at junction were I qued and waited for assistance as the teller was empty there was a dark African guy whom I went to and told I needed to cancel my layby and he said to I can't cancel while my layby is active it firstly needs to expire for me to get my cash back so I left and then my layby expired on the 14/03/2024 I went again the same guy said to me my lat by was still active and needed to come back another 14days later which I went on the 31/03/2024 then I met a different guy who told me I can't get my cash back as my layby expired I can only get an ackermans voucher I was supposed to come and cancel my layby while it was active to get my cash back...I'm so angry because I got two contradictory stories I feel like I have been ****med and forced to spend money at ackermans I needed that money for baby formula ackermans doesn't sell baby formula...after all this negletance of the employees who dnt know the procedure a cancellation of a layby...My Rights as a customer have been violated because I have been running up and down for a min h and a half for nothing
