Disappointed

Yesterday I went to Ackerman's Kerk street Johannesburg, and as I was going around I heard on their radio that they have a promo of buy for R300 and above than you will get a scratch card. As I got to the till my items were 370 and as I was to conclude I asked the cashier were is my scratch than that's the only time he could tell me that they finished. So I asked him does it mean am losing out and he told me once am there next time I will get it but I was just passing through the store cause I don't shop there. Now what I want to know is that does it mean I have lost out since well the promo only ends on the 30/04? And I won't be able to go passed the store anytime soon. And is it my fault that they didn't have scratch cards at all.
