Click and collect

Ordered a package on Saturday and chose the click and collect option. The Package was delivered by courier at 12:37, called the customer service to confirm and indeed I was advised the package was delivered to the store( Yeoville). I went to the store at around 15:00 and I was advised I need an OTP in order to receive the package. Which means the store received and did not scan as the courier delivered. Furthermore, I asked if I was possible to wait in order to receive the package as I am in store already and the guy rudely advised I needed to wait for an SMS to come through.

I don't understand why the package is not scanned as soon as the courier drops it off. It's money and time to travel all the way to the store and be told an sms needs to come through because of *********** employees who can't do simple things in time
