Banned from entering Ackermans at Princess Crossing
I went to the Ackermans at Princess Crossing, Witpoortjie this morning, 2 May 2020. Unfortunately I have no family close by, and being a single mother, I had to go with my 8 month old son to the store. There was a very long line due to COVID-19 restrictions, but I did not mind to wait in the line because I desperately needed to buy clothes for my 8 month old son who has outgrown all his clothes. So with my baby on my back I stood in the line from 10:30. At 12:00 it was finally my turn in the line to go inside the store, upon which time I was told that children are not allowed in the store due to COVID-19 regulations and was thus refused entry. Dismayed and angered that I had stood in a line for so long, with my baby, and no one had the decency to inform me that I would not be allowed in the store with my child, I expressed my dissatisfaction to one of the lady employees, the security at the door and a Mr. Mlungisi- whom I assumed was the manager. While I understand that it is their policy now to ban children from their stores, the least they can do is inform the people who are standing in the very long lines to enter their store.
