Ackermans Voucher nightmare

So on the 23rd of October my husband bought a R2000.00 rand voucher at Ackermans Secunda and it happend that on that day the store didn't have cards so they gave him just a slip instead. Friday the 25th we realize that we have misplaced the slip, I went to the store to tell them that we have misplaced the slip and ask if they can help me with a Reprint.

1. I was asked to identify the till number and the person that assisted my husband on that day, fortunate enough when i was busy on the phone with my husband i lady said he remembers the transition as she was the one assisting my husband.

2. I spend 2 hours in the store with the store manager trying to call head office to get me helped.

3. I am told to ask my husband to check his phone because the will send him an sms and the sms never came through, so they tell me to go home and wait for the sms or come back on monday.

4. Monday i go back to the store wait again and they asked me to provide my husband's ID , only to be told that the guy helping us at head office is not taking the stores calls anymore, so i should go the will call me in an hour they never did i had to call in countless times asking if there is any feedback.

On the 30th the store manager sends me screen shots of the email from head office saying they can help me and the give a receipt that reflects only four last numbers of the voucher and they tell me that the balance is still the same the voucher has not been use (i mean what in the world im i suppose to do with a slip with four numbers, guess the rest of the number?). I am not accepting the story that i cant be helped. R2000.00 is a lot of money and this 'you bought it at your own risk' story will not fly with cause i don't think they told my husband that when they sold the voucher to him.
