Ackermans Vaal Mall Vanderbijlpark

I went to visit ackermans store in vaal mall earlier this month, not certain about the date in question but If my memory serves me well, it was 10/06/2025. I bought a clothes worth around R7000.00, for both my kids and a few items for me, the service i received was good and everything went well.

Then on the 13/06/2025, I went back to the store to EXCHANGE 4 of the tems I bought.

After the exchange has been done, i was told that i could not retain my original receipt because i have made an exchange, i questioned the act and made the lady who was assisting me aware that I need that receipt as proof of purchase when attending my maintenance court, she told me its "Company policy" and made me a *PHOTO COPY* (A4 SIZED) of my receipt. Later that day, I got a call from the store asking me about the service i had received, i enquired about the original invoice and futher asked how will I go about exchanging other items as i have 30 days to either return them or exchange them, they said that i can only do that at vaal mall because of the fact that they kept my receipt.

Fast forward, the photo copy they gave me is regarded void an null by the court as it is not accompanied by the original, and guess what, my kids are in KZN, i need to exchange some items but i cant because i have to do it where?? At vaal mall. The cost of getting those clothes and returning them is waaaaaaaaay costly that the items themselves.

I feel that i have lost that money because of the bad "COMPANY POLICY THAT ARE NOT STATED ON THE TILL SLIP"
