ACKERMANS - PREMIO "SMARTPHONE" BATTERY

Ackermans introduced their own brand of Smart phone targeting the budget smartphone market a couple of years ago. The Premio has a removable battery, but when the battery packs up, you are not able to purchase a replacement battery. Upon enquiring from Ackermans, I was told this morning that I will have to purchase a new phone. Why would you have a mobile phone with a removable battery when you will not be able to replace the battery in future? It makes no sense to me. When you are in the "budget smartphone market", you are not in a position to purchase a new phone just because the battery packed up.
