Ackermans Golden Walk Exploited Me

l’d like to review Ackermans Golden Walk, who is managed by Sbusiso Mnisi. I have been exploited, I have been ****** my wages since I started working with me. Because I am young fresh in the work environment I feel I was taken advantage of, and when I try to address this matter I was dismissed and threatened

I am not the only one who has experienced this however, I’m the only brave one. To be specific I was working with them as a casualty meaning I was rating per hour, after signing our first contract we were not even told our rate until. We saw it as it was displayed on the computer by mistake, on our first payroll in October we got paid about R678 for 2days. I’m not quite sure if that was the exact amount but it was close to R700. Meaning a day we rated approximately R36 as we worked the following weeks. Suddenly the money dropped we got a day R221 or less than that

We still asked the manager however the response was our contract has not started yet but we signed it to start working and we were coming to work however we only came for a day or 2

Fast forward to the day we signed a new contract and he then disclosed our rate which was R28.10 an hour, we then started going to work frequently because it was the festive season and the store got extremely busy. We would be in for 4/5days a week and we would work long hours everday. We clock in around 8/9am and clock out around 8pm cause the store would get so busy.

When we started calculating our hours and realized that they were actually being edited and reduced and we addressed that he said it was “our fault that we couldn’t clock correctly” we were being gaslighted and that was a lie ,we knew how to clock correctly

When I started taking screenshots of my Overview and confronting him with my hours from the Overview he’d dismiss me, and tell me he has all the proof in black and white and I am just talking without proof. I feel he is using he’s power and access to the system to overpower me

Moral of the story everytime l’d get paid I would be ****** R250/R300 every week on my payment
