About clearing my account at credit bureau

Good day

I'm totally disappointed as ive paid my ackermans account is up to date now when I ask them about when is it going to be updated on credit bureau they say it won't aslong as I've missed my payments for 8months it will be forever so I don't know if the info is correct or what...I won't recommend any to take the credit account.
