Unacceptable aftersales ACDC

Good Afternoon Ricky-Lee.

It is with great regret that I have to write this email after trying to resolve this issue in a proper manner.

It is with shock to see how many customers is currently complaining on a platform like Hellopeter about service delivery and customer service about ACDC Express.

I am NOT an electrician, Electrical engineer or any form of “fundi” when it comes to electricity, voltage, overload, undercharge etc, what I DO know is when you are sold a product for a certain purpose as stated and sold to me by YOUR salesman after I explained what I need the equipment for, told that it will serve the purpose intended for AND that it carries a warranty, a Company like ACDC should back their products when they were willing to take the customers money in the first instance….

I feel that ACDC is purposefully misleading customers for their own financial gain.

Firstly, Invoice NCIN063320, dated 24 October states: 12 v 100AH AGM Lead Acid + Gel Solar Battery, Invoice NCIN063320, exact same date, reprinted by YOUR BRANCH IN NEWCASTLE, states 12 V 100 AH AGM Lead Acid + Gel Solar Battery AND DUE TO LOADSHEDDING NO WARRANTY ON BATTERIES. How can an invoice be altered when PAID FOR AND COLLECTED? How can a warranty be altered to NOT COUNT DUE TO LOADSHEDDING after a product was purchased WITH A WARRANTY??

Secondly, the equipment was sold to me for the purpose of backup during loadshedding. Why wasn’t I informed that the ACDC 600W Pure Sinewave INVERTER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CGARGE SAID BATTERY WHEN LOADSHEDDING STAGES INCREASE but rather told that the equipment is enough AND carries a warranty?

Thirdly, the battery is a mere 2 months old, +-60 days, when this problem occurred?? This costing +- R 3400?

Fourthly, an email was sent to ALL ACDC stores informing them that no batteries carries any warranty due to loadshedding anymore in December 2022? How can an item purchased in October fall under this rule or alteration? Surely you cannot buy a vehicle from any car dealer WITH A WARRANTY and two months later they retract the warranty because of the poor condition of the roads in South Africa? Who is at fault here? Surely NOT THE CUSTOMER?

In conclusion: This inverter was bought for a 76 year old lady with the little money she had saved to help her get through this issue we all are facing…. If this is the way a big company like ACDC does business or feel is the correct way of treating customers, I do not see any form of understanding, only greediness.

Hopefully this negative experience, not only by myself, but by 85 out of 96 NEGATIVE REPORTS, won’t leave ACDC in the dark forever in the nearby future.

RE: Ricky-Lee

Good day Steyn
Trust you're well
Thank you very much for reaching out to ACDC Dynamics Head Office
We refute any claims of misleading our consumers. Kindly note that our policy regarding warranties offered on these has changed and will appear on all paperwork going forward.
We are very much aware that you purchased your battery in October 2022 which at the time carried a valid warranty.
With reference to RE25414NC, Our senior technicians assessed the unit and due to the unit being undercharged, The item in question has sulfated and is uneconomical to repair.
This is unfortunately not a valid warranty claim.
We appreciate your understanding and will be closing this matter on our end.
Have a wonderful and blessed afternoon further
Regards,
