NEVER BUY SOLAR FROM ACDC
DO NOT BUY your Solar Home systems from ACDC. We bought a 5Kw Luxpower Inverter, 4 x 200 Ah Batteries and 6 x 460W Solar panels from ACDC Montana. ACDC advised and insisted on what components will be best for our needs. They insisted for the warranty purposes that their ACCREDITED electrician do the installation. R74 227 later and the system does not work. The sale and installation was done in May 2023. Montana branch closed soon and left us stranded. We went Gezina branch for assistance. They only tested the batteries and blame it on load shedding and refer us to claim from the insurance. (A Brand new Installation!)
The independent assessor from the insurance tested the system and concluded faulty batteries were installed. It might as well be poor installation from the electrician. The electrician did issue a COC but who knows what he did.
I eventual contacted Mr Fernell Jansen (Manager Custormer Relations). Infinity Brands is apparently the owners of ACDC. I send him all the relevant documents as requested and more - even all the conversations with the branch manager. His response: his supplier said its the batteries and there are no warranties - buy new ones!

However, we are limited in the unforeseen circumstance with the store that has closed permanently. As a result, we are unable to address your concerns directly.
We understand the frustration this situation may cause and want to assure you that we are dedicated to assisting you in resolving the issues as far as we are capable of doing so. In light of the closure, we recommend reaching out to the previous owners or management of the store for further assistance regarding your complaint please have all the relevant documents ready when contacting them so that they can assist you.
