<p>Hi,</p> <p> </p> <p>I owb an Audi A4 2.0 TFSI, upon returning from Capetown my car was misfiring, I drove it straight to the place that serviced my car and left it there with them. They said they were not able to help and referred me to ACD Centurion and was introduced to Brandon. Without opening anythig they did a pressure test and Brandon Gave me a thumb suck price for a replacement head (as he thought it bent valves) of R30k. I then agreed to pay for three hours labour for stripping the vehicle to check properly.</p> <p>Brandon then proceeded to say that the head was fine and valves were fine so replace a timing chain tensioners and valve stem seals, so I got a price of 25k from him. I disagreed because he had put 10 hours labour @ 400 per hour(plus VAT) and R4700 to remove and replae head.(double charge). Head gasket ********** and Valve stem seals ********** all not including VAT.</p> <p>I called Brandon up and disagreed about the prices so he rectified it by saying he could now get a COMPLETE head set including seals , ironically at the exact same price as the previous head ********** <p>I then got an invoice last week Friday (which I paid) for R24k but now thois included :</p> <p>WATER PIPE CONNECTOR 1.00 R 250.00 0,00% 14,00% R 250.00 R 285.00</p> <p>LABOUR 0.50 R 400.00 0,00% 14,00% R 200.00 R 228.00</p> <p>ENGINEERING 1.00 R 1,650.00 0,00% 14,00% R 1,650.00 R 1,881.00</p> <p>INTAKE CAM AND VANOS USED 1.00 R 4,500.00 0,00% 14,00% R 4,500.00 R 5,130.00</p> <p>GUIDE TENTIONER CHAIN 1.00 R 733.20 0,00% 14,00% R 733.20 R 835.85</p> <p>I paid the money needing my car as we were heading onto three weeks now and i was told the car will go for a test drive and wash at three. </p> <p> </p> <p>On my way there Brandon called again(after I paid) and said I cant have my car becaus there is a huge oil leak and the Oil Light is on, my car has never ever leaked oil , the next day he called and said I will need to pay another 3K for a new sump and oil sender unit.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then took my car from him on tuesday but I had to pay another r3500 for a sump and oil filter and labour, needless to say he charged me for an oil filter R406 on the previous invoice and when i asked why he said he was fault finding and I can have the other NEW oil filter I never even got. </p> <p> </p> <p>I took the spares he gave me to another motor specialist and the parts he gave me we in no need to be replaced especially the R4500 intake cam and vanos (Used part). I also now have a car that has oil lights flashing, my computer has the date that the car was brought out(when I asked if was not meant to set it he said it could probab;ly be done but he is to dumb with that computer - HIS WORDS coming from a diagnositc place)</p> <p>End of the day he has just done what he feels on the car I am out of pocket R30 my car is not rght and he refuses to refund me.</p> <p>I must admit he was very welcoming and really looked like the professional I could trust but I had to type up a letter to get my car out of there - AND PAY.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to take this up with the Consumer Protection Services as well as I think he just set the timing of my car ,cause an oil leak was not able to set my cars computer and CHARGED ME FOR IT.</p> <p>I will defiantely not recommend ACD and i will return to that tyre/car service place(that confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the cars sump and NO OIL LEAKS) and also tell them not to recommend ACD - Brandon again.</p> <p> </p> <p> Sean Moir</p>
