Horrible service and attempted to rip me off and still did a horrible job

<p>I usually buy parts for my car at Midas and on the 13th of January i went in looking for a fan belt, and the sales guy i usually speak to me suggested i take my car to the ACD workshop had no idea what i was in for. I continued to be in contact with th sales guy from Midas and asked what the parts will cost and he advise that the fan belt would cost me about R250 which i found later was R350 and a new water pump would be R980. so i asked on average what shoul i expect to pay and he advised me including labour it would cost me about R1950.00 to do the complete job. I agreed to this on the Monday i called to check if the parts had arrived and if they had started working on my car then because the guy i spoke to was not in i was told the price he gave nme was for labour only and i know im female but i am not an idiot i specifically asked for the parts price why would i go to Midas to ask about labour charges? i asked for a quotation and was given an inconclusive quote that made no sence and told them i would be towing my car elsewhere as i will not be **********. the day i arrived to collect my car i was told they wanted to charge me for checking my car and i told them if they wnat a law suit they can go ahead but i am not paying a cent. the sales man had returned that day and he convinced me that there was a mistake. so i left my vehicle and when i collected it seems they damaged my car on purpose. They told me my radiator was leaking which is wasnt before i brought it in, and after collecting it my car broke down not more than 25km into my day. i had the vehicle towed to a compitent mechanic and he found that they had scratched my radiotor on purpose and caused it to leak and unfortunately because my car is an old model it could not be repaired but replaced which has cost me over R7000.00 on top of the the R2334.00 that i had already paid to ACD to fix the problem in the first place not including the tow charges. i dont mind the the parts prices but i want a refund on the so called labour they charged for damaging my car and compensation for causing me a further bill of R7000.00 i am appaulled that any mechanic would send outr a car in the state that my car was in. Anyone thinking of using these people reconsider especially if you are a woman you are bound to taken for ride because they treat woman like we are idiots. i know my car and i knew what was wrong with it when i brought but i was left with further break downs after they supposedly fix the car.</p>
