TATA Super Ace - Defective Vehicle DONT BUY!!!!

This constant break-down of the vehicle is unacceptable. It is happening to a BRAND NEW car that is under 14000KM and has only been to one 10000km service (at KIA Germiston - Service advisor: ABE).

List of things wrong with the car:

1. Burst Valve
2. Snapped Accelerator cable
2. Malfunctioning Start-up (Car would not start)
3. Knocking sound in engine causing the vehicle not to start-up
4. Malfunctioning Turbo manifold that caused the engine to run without the key in the ignition, and to bellow with smoke uncontrollably - After the manufacturing default was resolved (while the car stayed in the TATA workshop for 3 weeks), the EXACT SAME problem occured within 2 weeks of the problem being 'fixed'.

This is a business vehicle of a small business that relies on it for all deliveries. We are in the food business and have deliveries to many clients across gauteng including SPAR. Each day that we don't have a car is a day that we lose money and credibility with our clients.

We have tried to be patient with the process and allow the steps to be taken to resolve the issues with the car - But this last break-down is evidence that the car is UNSAFE and UNFIT for the purposes that it was made for. It is a clear hazard to any driver and truthfully all of this is tantamount to theft. We have paid for a new car so that we can enjoy the benefits of a new car i.e Reliability, safety, predictability and consistency. Instead, we have are in the position where the vehicle is behaving as if it is second-hand and suffering from problems expected from a second-hand vehicle i.e Breakdowns, unpredictability, mechanical failures and smoking engines etc.

We made call to the TATA customer-care-centre manager Natalie, who said the 'only' thing she can do is to send a technician to 'see' what is wrong.

Since these failures are NOT our fault, and are a result of mechanical failures (which can be confirmed by TATA Midrand), it seemed reasonable to us to request for a loan vehicle (In the interim) to give your technicians an opportunity to resolve the issues at hand. Natalie has responded saying that it will not be possible - which is what we have a problem with.

It seems as though TATA doesn't mind to see our business suffer and grind to a halt while we wait for things to be investigated with absolutely no effort to assist in ANY way except for a casual caveat of 'there's nothing we can do'.
