TATA MOTORS SOUTH AFRICA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCK

TATA MOTORS SA is the most unreliable, ************* brands to deal with ever. My vehicle drove into their workshop for a 30 000km service. I had to tow the vehicle away from them with a seized up engine? Full service history, full warranty, no feedback from the service centre or dealer what so ever. The engine was stripped, parts sent for outwork with no written consent or auth from us as owners of the vehicle. Dealer wants us to pay R35 000 for an engine which we never seized. They blatantly lie to their customers and what happened here is not adding up. Events happened as follows: 1. Vehicle went in for the first service, complaint was lodged about black smoke, and dealer advised this is normal. 2. Second service was done, another complaint was lodged, and dealer advised that the catalytic converter was cleaned. As far as I know with my technical experience as a service advisor for a reputable brand and dealer this cannot be done, you can replace it only. 3. There was also some water pipe replaced or a clamp as far as I understand - no indication ever that there was water leaks. 4. Third service I went with and again complained about black smoke again. Please note, vehicle drove into his workshop, no overheating or even indication of overheating. The foreman advised that he is very concerned and we need to leave the vehicle for him to inspect. Then they advised a week later that the engine seized up due to overheating? The conversation following the foreman admitted in my presence as well as my husband’s that this is definitely a factory default as the black smoke is definitely not normal at all. Very different than what the service advisor fed my husband he first two services. There was never any indication of overheating at all as this vehicle is used on a daily basis. 5. The dealer was also supposed to fit warranty parts when the service was done, they never clarified which parts. I know Mike mentioned a fan switch and clock when I lodged the complaint the first time. 6. The dealer has up until now not send through any report from their engineering company where my vehicle was sent without consent. I am writing because as a customer I drove my vehicle into their workshop, I had to tow it away with a seized up engine which they want me to pay half off and with no explanation as to why there was any warning of overheating? My warranty is still in place, I never skipped a service and I feel that the dealer haven’t been honest, they lacked communication either because they have no clue on the technical matter at hand or this engine was damaged due to their negligence and lack of technical knowledge? Imperial Multi Franchise Boksburg almost never contacted us; we had to constantly contact them. I want them to take responsibility as a reputable dealer should. I still haven’t received any documents as requested, this is now the 2nd month. Not even mentioning the loss of income at this stage. I want the dealer to take responsibility and carry the costs involved for getting this vehicle fixed. My opinion is that the dealer tested water to see if we were going to fall for the 50% the offered to cover. I also take this as acknowledging that they blew my vehicle engine while it came in for a service. Why are they offering 50% without argument in the first place, and the fact that there is no documents available? This is telling me they are hiding facts and blatantly lying about the matter. The dealer that closed down did not close down more than 5 years ago but quite recently. And the fact of the matter is, IMPERIAL SELECT BOKSBURG worked on the vehicle with the 3rd service and blew the engine. I am aware of plenty other people with exactly the same story with less knowledge about engines who just left the matter unattended.
