So after 12 years of hard work in the towing and motor industry I was finally able to buy my very first brand new rollback truck. As leaders in the industry, I decided to go with a Tata 813 from Tata International. They SELL me a brand new truck but supply me with a used truck that has been damaged and badly repaired.

My salesperson was Alida Pretorius who continued to assure me that it is a new unit even after seeing the pictures of the defects it had. The natis documents were sent to me 3 months later and clearly stated that the truck was used. Knowing that we are now unable to do without the truck as we have acquired contracts that this truck services.

Through the many breakdowns that were fixed at my own cost she continued to assure me that the natis document is just a mistake on the part of the licensing office. It has now broken down on several occasions (more than 10 times) and still I persevered to hold on to it so I can maintain professionalism. At 9 months old and 10000km it drove and sounded like a 10 year old truck.

After the 1st service @ Tata Nelspruit the truck broke down at least 6 times. The final straw was when the brakes locked while being driven and almost killing my brother who was driving . Following this, I got into contact with the dealer principal Celia Zietsman but have never been given a satisfactory response nor has the issue been resolved even after various communication both legal and through Miosa to date.

This experience has showed me that there is no empathy for us and our now struggling business by Tata international or their staff. It is now 6 months that I am paying for a truck that they are in possession of and have also taken a massive financial loss in business because of this.

Please be warned when dealing with these people as they clearly have their own interests at heart and have no basic concern for customer service.
