Compliment

My name is Alex Sibusiso Fulane age 32. I reside in Soweto.

In life I have made very bad choices. I dropped out of school for no reason, I stayed at home watching other kids go to school my parents were very disappointed about the life decision I took. I remember my mother's family used to swear at her saying she has no womb due to her children are not educated and are ********* and I too will end up in jail one day.

I had a belief that education won't benefit me anywhere. so I began to work at an early age it felt good earning my first salary. I felt big due to I could buy myself anything I needed at that time and it very much complimented my decision. Time continued I got my first child and I was happy due to the salary I was getting could support him. I after some years I stopped working and tried to go back to school to make my parents happy with the course of their choice; which was electrical engineering. But I could not cope because it was not something I preferred to do.

I stopped again schooling and went back to work. But as I was working I could see that I could motivate my colleagues and most of the things at work could be understand responsibility. Both my parents passed on, my father 2010 and my mother 2019 and I was left alone with my younger brother and this world.

During these years I had now 3 kids and my friends and former colleagues were successful due to studying. I remember the first time I registered with this other collage they ****med me money. I was discouraged but did not give up. Then I app**** here at the academy of York. I received a warm welcome and they were very patient in assisting me in my decision. I will never forget Ziphi, Mpho and Michelle. Thank you very much. What I wrote I just summarized but it is from the heart. I wish my parents were alive to see me break through.
