Academic Singles Sharp Practices

Academic singles promises a seamless matching meeting and dating process. I don't mind paying a reasonable price for the service. I thought R199 was reasonable for a ! MONTH PREMIUM Membership ( Which I understood as getting the premium service for 1 MONTH) I paid on the 17th of Aug 2020. I'll be damned if Academic singles did not go ahead and Debit my card for R995 on the 17th of Sept 2020. Now this was no where in the sign up for the 1 month Premium Membership and even if I failed to cancel before the end of the month surely the debit should have been for another R199?! Is this legal and who can possible help from a legal stand point?
