"A Raving Fan"

I regret to say that my experience with AIE has been very disappointing. While the lecturers are knowledgeable and skilled, the management and organization of the program leave a lot to be desired.

Communication has been a constant issue: concerns are often dismissed, and it feels like it's an inconvenience for them to engage with students. We are rarely treated as paying customers, and responses are slow and curt.

The scheduling has been frustrating as well. Classes and deadlines are often rescheduled with little notice, leaving little time to adjust. This mismanagement leads to a lot of unnecessary stress. When we raise these concerns in Q&A sessions, the response is always "that's the nature of the beast," which doesn't feel like a valid explanation.

One of the main reasons I enrolled was the promise of assistance with placement in a company, particularly for the practical modules and internships. Unfortunately, this turned out to be untrue, as they lack established relationships with third-party companies and even asked us to help with this, which is not what I signed up for.

There have also been constant technical issues with the portal, especially during exam time, when access problems prevent us from completing assessments. This is never communicated in advance, leaving us in the dark until it's too late.

Regarding course content, I found that the modules were barely aligned with what was advertised. In my software development course, I ended up learning more about Microsoft 365 than the intended course content.

Additionally, some exam questions require features only available in the paid version of Microsoft 365, which isn't included in the course, leaving students unable to answer certain questions unless they purchase the software. When raised, this concern was brushed off, which feels like an oversight on their part, possibly to avoid additional costs.

After receiving our payment, it felt like the company shifted its focus to the next intake, leaving us with minimal support. In some weeks, we were asked to attend daily classes while simultaneously managing assignments that needed to be submitted that same week. This caused unnecessary strain, especially since many students in this part-time course are also working full-time jobs.

If you’re considering enrolling in this program, I’d advise caution. This setup seems better suited for full-time students rather than those balancing work and study. While I usually don’t write reviews, I hope this one helps others avoid the mistakes I made.

It’s unfortunate, but I’m genuinely disappointed with how this has turned out, and It was a waste of R60,000 it total.
