Disappointment and frustration with AC Direct

I am writing this review with an overwhelming sense of disappointment and frustration after my recent experience with AC Direct. I cannot stress enough how poorly this company has handled my air conditioning installation from the very beginning.

First and foremost, the communication from AC Direct has been abysmal. I had to chase them incessantly for updates on my order, only to be met with vague responses and promises that were never fulfilled. It's as if once they got my money, they couldn't be bothered to keep me informed about the progress of my installation.

The sales ethic demonstrated by AC Direct is nothing short of *********. The initial consultation was filled with empty promises and exaggerated claims about the efficiency and quality of their products. It became apparent that their main concern was making a sale rather than ensuring that their customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchase. It's disheartening to see a company prioritize profits over customer satisfaction.

When it came to the actual installation, things only went from bad to worse. The installation team arrived late, and their lack of professionalism was evident from the start. They were careless with my property and left a mess behind that I had to clean up myself. Moreover, the workmanship was subpar, with the air conditioning unit not fitted to my satisfaction.

The first visit, which took place on 28 Dec 2023, was highly unsatisfactory. The team arrived without the correct tools necessary to complete the installation. This resulted in an unfortunate waste of six hours of my mother's time, as they attempted to secure the required tools and even had to make a trip to a hardware store to acquire additional equipment which was unsuccessful. This lack of preparation and efficiency was not only inconvenient but also left us feeling frustrated and disappointed.

Despite these initial setbacks, we were hopeful that the subsequent visit on Saturday, the 6th of January, would proceed more smoothly. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The team displayed an extreme lack of tidiness and failed to adhere to the instructions provided. The overall workmanship was far below the standard I expected, and it has left me concerned about the quality and longevity of the installation.

To date I am still waiting for a unit that has not been delivered and installed and I am having to constantly follow up with the team for feedback with very little response!

I strongly advise anyone considering AC Direct to think twice before making a decision. This company's poor communication, questionable sales practices, and shoddy installation are a recipe for an utterly unpleasant experience. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a company that values its customers and stands behind the quality of its products and services.
