Never take your cat cat for a groom at Absolute Pets

If you were ever planning on taking your beloved cat for a trim at Absolute Pets (specifically Pinehurst) - please don't !! Especially if it is a pedigree cat, like in our case with a Norwegian forest cat. The employees have absolutely no knowledge of these cats and how they should be trimmed. We had a traumatic experience after instructing them only to trim in areas under his body where the hair knots regularly. Unfortunately the communication with the front desk and the grooming room's staff as well as their knowledge on cat breeds and grooming are nonexistent. They stripped this poor cat from his entire identity by shaving of his mane together with the rest of his body's hair. I don't even want to share pictures of this because the cat looks so uncomfortable and depressed in his own body. They refunded our money but it is not about the money. I want to warn other cat parents to stay away from Absolute Pets' grooming facilities as far as possible! They have no knowledge on grooming pedigree cats and will claim that they do just to gain a client. I told them I will write a review and the lady gave me a cheeky smirk so they have absolutely no sympathy with the situation.
